Jonathan Carmin Appolon, better known as Apollo Fresh, was born in New York and raised in Broward County, Florida. Apollo Fresh has played musical instruments since he was a child and started freestyling when he was just 7 years old. He used these freestyles to practice his skills and started taking rap seriously when he was 15 years old. His high school football teammates are to thank for his career as they convinced him to make a song after listening to his sensational freestyles. At first, he wasn’t sure if this was the path for him but once he made his first song he truly fell in love with the process. After high school he attended college in Florida and there he was able to do a lot of underground shows to show off his talent. This time however posed a lot of challenges for Apollo Fresh. He was balancing 6 classes, multiple programs, his mental health, and having his first hit blow up without having a manager. Through all these challenges he still made the choice to not give up on school and finish out his college career. This was a huge accomplishment for Apollo Fresh and he is very proud of that choice to this day. He is now fully pursuing his career in music as an independent artist and working with producers such as Blake$ale. He has an EP in the works called “Life Is Anime” which embodies the enjoyment of life and highlights the parts of life anime tends to be inspired by. He also has a music video for his hit song “Gomu Gomu” coming soon.
